Li He /贺立 composer | guitarist

born in Inner Mongolia,China. From 2013 to 2017 studied Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering (BA) and from 2018 to 2021 studied Composition (MA) in Shanghai. Currently studying composition with Tom Rojo Poller at the Udk Berlin. In her work, she pursues a raw and wildness texture, reminiscent of the untamed experience of live music in a live house or club, infused with the dynamic energy of metal music.

Her work has been performed at various festivals: next_generation X (Germany) Contrasts International Contemporary Music Festival(Ukraine), CEME Festival(Israel), Time of Music Festival(Finland) etc.

As a guitarist she began playing in the metal scene in 2015, since 2023 she has started playing in contemporary music and improvisation. Her current work focuses on extending the functionality of the guitar, such as allowing it to act like a sensor, midi controller. While extending the functionality of the guitar, she explores the relationship between the player and the instrument, the sound, and the performative nature of the performance.
